College, Manning Primary, St Pius X Catholic School,
Como Secondary College and Penrhos College.
Curtin University is also nearby.
Perth city is just a short drive away via Kwinana Freeway.
Manning is still an undiscovered secret and is very
competitively priced in comparison to other suburbs
a similar distance from the City. It is the ideal
place for young couples and families to build their
future
Manning began as a State Housing Commission project
in 1948. The land had been acquired by Henery
Manning of London in 1856, and Manning's grandson,
John Daniel Manning had a dairy here. He was a
prominent citizen, and was chairman of the South
Perth road Board in 1894, 1896-7 and 1899-1901.
During the subdivision Manning Estate was used and
Manning eventually became the official name of the
area.
